Information for Studying Abroad

AUD Students Meet President Bill Clinton

Many people have been asking about scholarships, as well as study abroad programs. Well, here it is!

How to Find the Study Abroad Program that's Right for You
At the University of Cincinnati, there are multiple options for Education Abroad Programs.
1. Exchange Programs through UC, or colleges within UC (the most cost-efficient, since UC tuition will be paid)
2. External Providers (offers packages and take the work out of organizing your trip)
3. Directly enroll to an institution (offers greater flexibility, but can be costly)

If you plan on directly enrolling to an institution, I recommend using Go Abroad. You can search for programs by location and by major. Once you've decided on your study abroad program, it's time to look for scholarships.

Scholarships Galore
Scholarships are easy to find. Here are the resources I used to find the scholarships I've applied to:

1. StudyAbroad.com
2. The Ultimate Scholarship Book (awards are organized into easy-to-browse categories such as humanities, social science, science and the ever popular "general" category for awards that have almost no restrictions)
3. Google (my searches were "study abroad scholarships," "accounting scholarships," "state of ohio scholarships," etc

Scholarships/Grants I've received:
Ohio Society of CPAs Scholarship
Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship deadline 3/1/12
William Jefferson Clinton Scholarship full-ride to The American University in Dubai
UC International Grant
College of Business Grant

Other Scholarships I've applied for:
ACFE
Boren provides up to $20,000 to U.S. undergraduate students

E. Roman Jones Memorial College Scholarship Program
